Feeding Yourself Smartly
The example demonstrates how a common task such as eating was totally reinvented for the child. She knew what she wanted to do, but she was probably a little bit afraid to try it. She was frustrated when she didn’t get results right away. But her persistence eventually caused the desired outcome to be achieved.
When applying this same logic to data and analytics, all you really need to learn is how to solve your problems a little differently –eat with the “analytics fork”. You will likely go through the same feelings as the child in the example: you know what you want to do, you might try something and achieve success right away, or you may fail. Or you may be too afraid or frustrated with not obtaining the desired outcome right away.
But much like the child eating with the fork, persistence with data and analytics can yield the desired outcome. It just takes practice.
