Summary

This chapter probably got your head spinning with abbreviations and links. But what we have tried to do is give a brief but full overview of what you can do with Okta’s APIs. Understanding how to use them and what possibilities you have was key. You learned how to do some administrator tasks, such as adding a user, without using the administrator console, which can make some tasks less repetitive. We also provided extra reference links to outside sources to get into more detail where needed. On the other side, we went through Okta’s API Access Management product to get a clear view of how to use Okta as your API access system and how to set it up. You learned about the important things to think about if you have APIs that need protecting, thus giving your organization a chance to increase its security using Okta.
