Module Configuration

Moodle distinguishes between three types of modules that are used in courses and the front page (which is treated as a course):

• Activities (which also covers resources)

• Blocks

• Filters

Most modules are enabled by default and are set to their default values. You get access to these settings in the Modules menu in the Site Administration block.

Note

Be careful when modifying settings in activities, blocks, and filters. Inappropriate values can cause problems inside courses.

Configuration of Activities

Selecting Modules | Activities | Manage activities in the Site Administration block displays the following screen:

Column	Description
Activity module	Icon and name of the activity/resource as they appear in courses.
Activities	The number of times the activity/resource is used in Moodle. When you click on the number a table is shown, which displays the courses in which the activity/resource has been used as well as the standard...
