SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe is the latest approach to creating printouts. The Adobe package has been an integral part of NetWeaver since its 2004 version, but it is also a separate product and can be successfully used in enterprises that do not use SAP software. It consists of a LifeCycle Designer with a form editor and the Adobe Document Service, a server that interprets calls and generates printouts.
Adobe Document Service works on Java stacks, which means you need to have Java Stack SAP Web Application Server installed. This is not the only difference between native print technologies and Adobe.
