Monitoring and administering IaaS
Oracle Enterprise Manager offers a comprehensive management console where you can perform administration and monitoring of your cloud infrastructure. In this section, we will be focusing on how to utilize the Oracle Enterprise Manager Infrastructure Cloud Home and perform various administrative tasks.
Most of the tasks that you will be concerned with are performed either on Infrastructure Cloud Home, Oracle VM Manager Home, or Virtual Server Pool Home page. We will look at each of these portals in this section.
The Infrastructure Cloud Home page
Navigate to Enterprise | Cloud | Infrastructure Home. The Infrastructure Cloud Home page shows several valuable details under different navigation panes:
General: Displays a count and status of OVM Managers, zones, guest VMs, and servers.
Target Flux: This pane displays the number of targets created and deleted over the last month (30 days). Targets included in this graph are guest VMs, virtual servers, server pools,...
