Setting up a content folder


In order to take advantage of saving and reusing assets, you will first need to set up a content folder. Back in Chapter 1, Stepping into the World of Animation, we set this folder up after Anime Studio prompted us at startup. Assuming that you followed those directions, your content folder should already be set. However, if you decide at some point that you'd like to reassign the content folder, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Help | Set Custom Content Folder.

  2. The prompt gives you three options: Never, Not Now, and Choose, as shown in the following screenshot:

  3. Select Choose and your file browser will appear.

  4. You will now choose where you will be storing your custom Anime Studio assets on your computer, as shown in the following screenshot:

  5. Pick a location that is easy to remember. If you've already made a folder for the files we have saved for our character and scene, you may want to pick that as your folder and store future files in there. Once selected, you should be...
