Introduction

The goal of this chapter is to present how to use Julia for parallel and distributed computing tasks. An important feature of Julia is the ability to scale up computations across many processes, threads, and distributed computational clusters. We show how to scale Julia by presenting multiprocessing, data communication issues across processes, multithreading, and distributed computing.
