Proxy Auto Configuration (PAC) file and client configuration
A PAC file is the configuration that dictates how a system or browser is supposed to reach certain resources. It can be used to redirect certain traffic to a proxy server while bypassing the proxy for other traffic. Different proxies can be defined for different destinations and so on. When configured properly, it can be a very powerful ally in controlling user’s access to all kinds of resources.
The PAC file that contains the connection parameters for the browser to determine which connections should go to a proxy or should break out locally can be hosted on a local server. However, it can also be hosted on Prisma Access to allow remote users to download it from anywhere. When deciding where to host the PAC file, make sure users will be able to access it from anywhere they may need to.
