We're focusing on SQL Server, but you need to be aware of the fact that machine learning as a service was first available in Microsoft Azure cloud before it was available with SQL Server. There are already seven services associated with machine learning available in Azure (two of them, however, are already retiring):
- HDInsight clusters
- Machine Learning Studio web service plan
- Machine Learning Studio workspaces
- Machine Learning Studio web services
- Machine Learning Service workspaces
- Machine Learning Model Management (Retiring)
- Machine Learning Experimentation (Retiring)
These services, together with the proper tools, can be another entry point to data science and working with your data. One of the tools you can use is Machine Learning Studio, a free online application, which you can use to create your experiments.
