Summary

In this chapter, you have learned about Azure Monitor and the various capabilities it offers. You have explored the various features of this service offering as well as investigated the configuration of some of the components. You have learned how to use metrics to monitor your Azure resources and alerts to get notified when you trigger the alerts configured for your Azure resources. You used Azure Log Analytics and created queries to retrieve valuable data from the logs. You also learned how to change the representation of that data to display it as a graphical output of your data. You should now be able to build and monitor resources in Azure, along with configuring alert notifications based on events that occur within your environment.

In the next chapter, you will learn about backup and recovery. You will explore the services offered within Azure and how to configure these to become confident in managing backup and recovery from within Azure.
