Implementing Storage Optimization

Cloud Storage is one of the most powerful offerings in the cloud services portfolio. The possibilities are endless, as cloud providers offer almost unlimited storage with incredible performance on tap that we can leverage to run our workloads in the cloud. From disks to newer storage paradigms such as object storage, we have a broad offering of services to cater to all possible use cases.

However, this wide offering sometimes is confusing for cloud practitioners, as with so many options available, we may suffer from decision paralysis. From a cost perspective, this complexity affects cost drivers, making it really hard to understand how much we need and how much it is going to cost as well. This complexity, of course, also impacts the difficulty of applying cost optimization in a Cloud Storage domain, and this is what we are going to try and tackle.
