All the apps we have seen in earlier chapters are generic. You can bring them together to customize and extend their functionality using automation apps, which we will explore in this chapter.
So far, we have seen how to detect inefficiency and find efficient methods to execute our work. If the efficient method is repetitive and is wasting your time—without adding any business value—then you must try to automate it.
Automation is usually done by the information technology (IT) team. Now, you can do it yourself using newer tools that are simple enough to be used by non-technical users. We will explore these scenarios and tools and learn how to save precious time using automation self-service.
