Putting an item into the DynamoDB table using the AWS SDK for Java
In the previous chapter, we saw how to create a table; now, let's see how to put items into a DynamoDB table.
Getting ready
To perform this operation, you can use the IDE of your choice. You should have also created a table in DynamoDB; if you haven't done this yet, refer to the previous chapters for details.
How to do it…
To get started, create a maven project, and add the AWS SDK dependency in the POM.xml
. Here is the latest version of the AWS SDK for Java:

Once done, perform the following steps to put the items into the DynamoDB table:
- Create an instance of the
DynamoDB
class and initialize it withProfileCredentialsProvider
