Introduction to Azure App Service

Azure App Service is a PaaS offering that helps to host web applications, backend services for Single-Page Applications (SPAs), and mobile applications. Applications deployed on App Service can be developed using various programming languages: C#, Java, Python, Ruby, Node.js, and PHP. It supports running applications on Windows and Linux environments. App Service brings the power of Microsoft Azure to applications, including security, autoscaling, load balancing, and automated management. App Service takes care of the patching and maintenance of the underlying environment where the application runs.
