Creating Azure Monitor alerts

Azure Monitor is a solution for managing, collecting, analyzing, and acting on both events and telemetry from your hybrid environments. Azure Monitor allows you to calculate proper performance baselines for your computing environments by collecting and monitoring real-time information and statistics. It also helps in determining trend analysis of performance over time, helping to identify and resolve resource bottlenecks, and ultimately assisting in overall capacity planning and scalability for all organizations.

There are currently four types of Azure Monitor alerts and they are as follows:

• Metric alerts allow you to alert on already computed data that is already available in metric data and requires little to no data transformation
• Log alerts allow you to utilize logic operations or queries via the Kusto Query Language (KQL) to monitor events stored in logs
