This brings us to the end of digital transformation. We saw how we need to evaluate our application portfolio for transformation opportunities. We saw the reasons why monolithic applications are becoming a hindrance to achieving our business goals.

Once a transformation opportunity is identified, we can take an existing monolithic application and move to a distributed application model. We saw various steps that need to be taken across people, process, and technology levels.
