Reconnaissance is fundamental during the hacking process. Through reconnaissance, hackers will gather information about their target to use against them or to access a vulnerability that they can exploit. The more information hackers have on their targets before beginning any type of attack, the more likely it is for them to succeed and not get caught.

So, let me ask you a question – when you're shopping for a car, do you buy the first one you come across with a For Sale sign? You probably don't. At least I know I don't.
