Social media
Social media allows us to share thoughts, ideas, and information within virtual communities using applications such as Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others. Social media differs from traditional sources of information as most of the content (blogs, videos, and comments) is generated by the users instead of being provided by the website owner. Also, the technology allows like-minded users to form a network (or a closed group) where they can comment, appreciate, or acknowledge each other’s generated content.
