In this chapter, we will take a look at vSphere features and options available for resource usage optimization. Common strategies in this area include better distribution of load between hosts and datastores, prioritization of resource consumers according to their importance and needs, as well as proper resource usage limitation, including CPU, memory, network, and storage I/O.
