Modifying channels
In Chapter 5, we briefly covered working with channels in the context of making selections and masks with them. In this section, we will dive a little further into channels, exploring ways to modify them with the Channel Mixer and see how we can mix and create six specific colors using this approach.
This will also be a great exercise to expand your repertoire for enhancing images, design elements, and objects for your design work. The more you experiment with channels, the more confident you will be to try out and learn the technical side of channels for professional services and tasks such as color separation and 4-color processing (CMYK) for printing, decorated apparel, and for publications of books and magazines.
