System performance
The system performance, in general, affects user acceptance. There are a number of factors that affect the system performance that you need to consider in your design, such as form load. Loading a CRM form should not take more than five seconds; as everyone agrees, the speed of loading forms is an important issue when it comes to user acceptance.
Other factors that affect the performance of form load include:
- Client hardware and software. For example, with the Celeron type of CPU, it may have a bad impact on script processing, different browsers, and so on.
- The design of the solution in general (entities, fields, relationships, integration, and so on):
- The number of entities (record types).
- Relationship of entities.
- The number of fields.
- Cascaded views.
- Processes.
- The type and architecture of the platform.
- Infrastructure (network, related applications, and so on).
