Summary
In this chapter, we learned about different techniques or options that SPA Intelligent RPA provides to capture controls that allow us to automate any page. We learned about using the Must Exist and Must Not Exist parameters in the Parameters panel to recognize a page based on the controls on the page. We also learned how to use the Ancestor and Labelled By parameters to recognize controls relating to other controls on the page. We also learned how to use text and numeric operators and how to declare a list of elements in the Criteria panel.
These options will help developers to capture and uniquely recognize any page or control irrespective of the technology used to develop automation target applications.
We will learn about options provided by Desktop Studio to implement conditional flows and repeated execution of the same steps in a loop in the next chapter.
