Steps to compare data between the source and target environment using Oracle GoldenGate Veridata


In this recipe, you will learn how to use Oracle GoldenGate Veridata to compare data between the source and target environments.

Getting ready

For this recipe, we will refer to the GoldenGate setup done in the Setting up a simple GoldenGate replication configuration between two single node databases recipe in Chapter 2, Setting up GoldenGate Replication. We will set up GoldenGate Veridata Java Agents on these two GoldenGate instances and perform a data comparison through Veridata. For the GoldenGate Veridata server setup, we will refer to the previous recipe.

How to do it...

The steps to set up a Veridata comparison between the source and target databases are as follows:

  1. Copy the Veridata Java client binaries to the source server (prim1-ol6-112.localdomain). The Java client binaries can be downloaded from the oracle otn/edelivery website.
