Introduction

As a GoldenGate Administrator you would be monitoring, administering, and tuning the replication environments. These tasks can be performed with the basic GGSCI commands or through the ad-hoc scripts. Such mechanisms work well as long as the number of environments is small. Once the number of GoldenGate environments starts to grow and you want to see a consolidated picture of the overall replication, you would need some additional tools for this. Apart from Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle also offers a few other products under the data integration category, which can be used for maintenance and to perform other administration tasks by a GoldenGate Administrator. These tools are GoldenGate Monitor, GoldenGate Director, GoldenGate Veridata, and OEM 12c GoldenGate Plugin.
