The Mindset of the Network Architect – the Principles of Design
The mindset of a network architect is developed over time. It starts by having an interest – in this case, networking; from there, reading, learning, listening (actively and passively), attending meetups or conferences, and working with experts in the field. Important enough is to ask questions and question the answer, and the process repeats itself. But along the way, you’ll begin to develop your own mindset on how you’d approach networking. Is there a correct mindset to have? That can be left for debate.
How I’d Iike to describe this is as follows:
"Taking outside knowledge and combining it with your own... to create new knowledge."
In other words, take the learning you acquired from mentors, books, and work – then take your own ideas/thoughts to create your own knowledge that you can articulate to others.
