Time for action – uploading an image and including it in a summary


  1. Ensure your image file is in the correct repository (for example, My private files or Flickr).

  2. Return to your course front page and click on the Summary of General edit summary icon.

  3. In the editor, open up the Insert Image dialog by clicking on the Insert/edit Image button. That's the button containing the little tree:

  4. The Insert/edit image dialog is displayed. Press the Find or upload an image… button to display the File picker dialog. Find the image you want to include and select it. You will see the image previewed in the preview pane at the bottom of the Insert/edit image dialog:

  5. Type a description of the picture in the Image description box. You won't be able to press the OK button until you do.

  6. Press the OK button.

  7. That's it. Your picture is now added:
