Time for action—enabling a MIDI keyboard controller in the Song Editor

In the Song Editor, if we want to use a MIDI keyboard controller, it's pretty simple:

1. On the instrument you wish to allow input for, click on its Track Tools icon:
   
2. In this list, we see three options: Clone this Track, Remove this Track, and MIDI.
3. If we choose MIDI, we can designate which of the MIDI controllers hooked up to our system we want to use:
   

What just happened?

Now we have the ability to record MIDI notes directly into the Piano Roll editor if we get bored with inputting all of the notes by hand. We'll do some of that in Chapter 5, Making Spaces.
