Summary

In this chapter, we discussed the different dashboard layout and template options you have at your disposal and we also walked you through some of the most popular widgets that you can add to your dashboards.

You learnt about the visual impact that you experience when you use the Topology Widget with Microsoft Visio and we also showed you how to make use of a new Datacenter Dashboard template that was hidden within the SQL visualization management packs.

Towards the end of the chapter we discussed some of the free community dashboard resources that are available and we also gave you a brief introduction to some of the best third-party vendor solutions in the market.

In the next chapter, we will focus on creating and customizing alert subscriptions along with giving you an introduction to working with reports in OpsMgr.
