Summary
In this chapter, we learned that the mindset of employees and a company's culture are foundational for enhancing agility. They are difficult to change, as they not only reinforce each other but they also influence and get influenced by multiple variables. The three primary variables, where intervention for changing mindset and culture will be most effective, are employee behaviors, working environment, and leadership mindset and behaviors.
This chapter has covered specific behaviors that align with agility and measures to change these behaviors. We have also considered how to align the workplace for greater agility.
The next chapter is the last of the three chapters in the foundation section. It focuses on understanding the significance of leadership, and the key personal traits and behaviors of leaders which are critical for enterprise agility.
