When we embarked on the journey to establish a new global and official organization, designing it effectively from the outset was paramount.
However, the reality was far from simple.
We had a pre-existing workforce spread across various geographic regions, and this complexity came at a significant cost, an exceedingly high one. It was evident from the beginning that this newly forged global organization couldn’t merely be a conglomeration of existing teams placed under one physical umbrella. We needed to make some challenging decisions and navigate difficult trade-offs.
