Reviews

Reviews are held at the end of the Sprint and are comparable to the validate scope process of gaining formal acceptance of the deliverable. The customer will be testing and inspecting the results to determine whether they are working the way they would like them to and determine what they want to be worked on next.

The Scrum team and stakeholders collaborate on what was done in the Sprint and what could be done next to optimize value. Even though this sounds very formal, it is considered an informal meeting, not a status meeting. This is because the entire goal is to elicit feedback and foster collaboration between everyone involved in the project. This meeting’s framework suggests the review be a four-hour meeting for one-month Sprints. For shorter Sprints, the review is usually shorter.
