Migrating to Google Workspace

Up to this point, we’ve been approaching Google Workspace from the perspective of a new subscriber with no previous on-premises or cloud resources or infrastructure at their disposal. A clean slate… a blank canvas. However, a system administrator’s reality is seldom that simple and in many cases, you’ll need to move data and resources from another platform into Google Workspace. Thankfully, Google has provided several tools and strategies to simplify these migrations.

Most of these migration strategies go beyond the scope of this book. However, Google has provided a host of detailed guides, which provide step-by-step instructions for different migration scenarios. These scenarios include migrating email data, servers, collaboration products, and filesystem data from various platforms to Google Workspace.
