Getting to know HLH and DVP deployment

In this section, we will take a look at the deployment setup required before the actual deployment of the Azure Stack Hub platform and two key components of the deployment process. These are the HLH and DVP.

This is important as Azure Stack Hub deployments will not be performed by end customers, unlike most traditional on-premises products or solutions from Microsoft. The acquisition and deployment of Azure Stack Hub require a relationship between Microsoft and the selected OEM partner.

The Azure Stack Hub solution is provided as an integrated system from the OEM vendor. The OEM vendor is then responsible for the following deployment activities:

  • Hardware deployment
  • OEM and Microsoft support onboarding
  • Azure Stack Hub platform deployment
  • Basic integration services (such as networking)
