Summary
In this chapter, you were introduced to Azure Monitor and Log Analytics. You then learned to send log data to Log Analytics, define custom logging options, and interpret metric and log data. Later sections focused on measuring the performance of data movements, pipelines, data streams, and SQL queries and setting up alerts for pipelines.
Applying these concepts, you should now be able to set up a monitoring solution for your data pipelines and be able to tell whether your data movement, pipeline setups, and query runs are performing optimally.
In the next chapter, you will focus on query optimization and troubleshooting techniques.
