Summary
In this chapter, we discussed utilizing multiple threads for running parallel operations against SimpleDB in Java, PHP, and Python in order to speed up processing times and taking advantage of the excellent support for concurrency in SimpleDB.
Applications require a database that can adapt as the user community grows. SimpleDB can support this in a cost-effective way, as long as the developer is willing to learn a new database paradigm. As developers, we dream of creating software that catches the public's fancy and goes viral. Ten users today, 50,000 tomorrow. What a wonderful problem to have!
