Backing up and restoring a vDS

vDS configuration can be backed up and then restored from, if necessary. In this recipe, we will learn how to export vDS configuration and then restore from an exported configuration.

How to do it...

The following procedure will help you to back up and restore vDS using the HTML5 client.

Exporting vDS configuration

Let's look at the following steps:

Connect to vCenter Server using the HTML5 client and go to the Networking inventory view.
Right-click on the desired vDS and go to Settings | Export Configuration...:

On the Export Configuration...
