AI has brought us to an interesting point. As we leverage this new technology, we need to balance our ambitions with mitigating potential risk via well-thought-out governance. An incredibly valuable byproduct of the emergence of AI is the increased awareness of the importance of establishing robust and reliable foundational data capabilities. I’m looking forward to helping advance our organizational culture around data, part of which will be to challenge the perception that governance is just about compliance. In fact, it’s core to value generation because it’s intrinsically linked to the data value chain.
