Summary

Congratulations on making it through the journey so far! This chapter was packed with information, but also an amazing experience for the hungry mind. We began with the challenging task of identifying our Outposts configurations and capabilities, implementing a complex network scenario from scratch, and launching an EC2 instance inside Outposts.

Next, we understood the local gateway, which is unique to AWS Outposts, and allowed it to exchange data with customer network segments. Finally, we learned how to share Outposts resources with other accounts.

You accomplished a lot, but there is more to come. In the next chapter, we will learn about security, and as they say at AWS: Security is Job Zero. We will talk about identity and access management, managed policies, physical security, and compliance. Security is paramount; we must strive to make security our top priority.
