We can develop Akka applications without using any configuration because the Akka framework provides sensible default configuration values for each and every Akka component. If required, we can change configuration values to improve application performance, scalability, and more.

Akka framework uses the Typesafe Configuration library for this purpose. In the Akka framework, this configuration is read and used by the ActorSystem. By default, the ActorSystem uses all configuration details available in the application.conf file. If required, we can customize it.
