Salesforce provides the option to create a basic formula by selecting the Simple Formula tab. Here, you choose the field type in the Select Field Type list and choose one of the associated options that is presented in the Insert Field list.
The simple formula can be built using various operators, which can be selected from within the Insert Operator list. The operators that are available are + Add, - Subtract, * Multiply, / Divide, ^ Exponentiation, Open Parenthesis, and Close Parenthesis.
