Preparing Rain in a new scene
Our animation for this chapter will begin with Rain in the standing pose we made for her in Chapter 6. First, of course, we’ll need to create a new scene with Rain in it. Do you remember how to do that?
A brief recap on linking Rain into a new project
This will be another 120-frame animation, with nothing in our scene besides Rain. In case you’ve forgotten what we did at the beginning of Chapter 6 to bring Rain into a new project, here’s a quick refresher. Remember these steps each time we start a new character animation with Rain:
- Start a new file in Blender and go to File | Link.
- Navigate to Rain’s
.blend
file in the invoked file browser. - Go to the Collection folder and choose the collection

for linking. - With the collection instance

selected in your scene, go to Object | Relations | Make Library Override. - Save your file (Ctrl + S) and then restart it with File | Revert.
