The audit feature is designed not to affect performance. Auditing does not store the audit details in standard CDS entities. This means that you cannot access the details of the changes made in the same way as a standard entity.
Audit transactions can be viewed from the following two places in the user interface: Audit History and Audit Summary.
Audit History is a view of all the changes made to a record. The old and new values are listed for each change with the date and time, and the user who made the change. Audit History is available from an entity form under related records. The following screenshot shows an example of Audit History for a record:
