Managing storage servers
In this section we will discuss how we can configure underlying storage systems such as NetApp Storage System or Sun ZFS Storage to host our database instances. Naturally, our shared database instance will require storage to host the data, and when the user wants to provision an instance of a database, Oracle Enterprise Manager provisions the preconfigured slice of underlying storage space to host that database instance. We will check how we can configure and register various storage systems for Oracle Enterprise Manager. As of Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c, only NetApp and Sun ZFS storage is supported. We will discuss the configuration of both systems.
