Uploading images

First we will take a look at the image gallery portlet. We will use this portlet to upload image files for the content that we are going to create.

The image gallery portlet is used to upload and manage image files. You can create hierarchical image folders and save the uploaded images in them. The maximum size of an image file that you can upload is 10 megabytes. You can upload image files of the following file extensions:

• .bmp

• .gif

• .jpeg

• .jpg

• .png

• .tif

• .tiff

Note

You can set the size of an uploaded image file to be unlimited in a portal-ext.properties file. You can also update the portal-ext.properties file to allow files of all file extensions to be uploaded.

A user can access the image gallery portlet in the Control Panel.
