Visualization dimensions


When you have your list of information dimensions it's time to do another list of "visualization dimensions". Hopefully you can see that your Kanban board is becoming much more layered and, indeed, multidimensional. Yes, it is becoming more complex, but with effective visualization, the increased complexity will be helpful rather than a hindrance.

Here are some examples of visualization dimensions and their benefits and drawbacks:

  • Rows

  • Columns

  • Text

  • Note color

  • Pictures

  • Magnets with text or pictures

  • Size of notes

Of course, you may find your own way of visualizing the various elements required; the important thing is to find a way that works for you and your team.
