Understanding Infrastructure as Code

Before we get into ARM templates and how to use them, let’s look at how you can cheat in creating your templates from the Azure portal when you create resources via the portal for POCs. In the blade menu, you will see an item called Automation Scripts. Once you click on it, you will see the following blade:

As you can see, it will give you a base for understanding, what resources went behind creating the Azure resources.
