Considering an upgrade from Dataverse for Teams to Dataverse
Several factors will require you to upgrade your Dataverse for Teams environment to Dataverse, which we will cover in detail. The important considerations that would be involved in this decision are additional capabilities or capacity limitations, as outlined in the following sections.
Capabilities
Additional capabilities that would make you consider upgrading the environment into a Dataverse environment would be as follows:
- The ability to run the apps outside of Teams in a standalone browser, such as Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, or as a native mobile app outside of Teams. Apps created within the Microsoft Teams environment would not be available anywhere outside of the Microsoft Teams application, such as a standalone browser or maker experience (https://make.powerapps.com). A maker experience is where you create standalone apps that can run on a browser or as a native mobile app.
