Generating a Table of Contents
A well-organized Table of Contents can be a great navigational aid in larger documents, allowing users to find their way around the document and get a feel for its structure. In this recipe, we will learn how to format your content ready for a Table of Contents, as well as how to then generate your first Table of Contents from that content.
Getting ready
In order to complete this recipe, simply open InDesign on your system and create a new document with 12 pages, as shown in the Creating a new document recipe in Chapter 1.
How to do it…
In order to create a Table of Contents, just follow these steps:
