Conventions used
There are a number of text conventions used throughout this book.
Code in text
: Indicates code words in text, database table names, folder names, filenames, file extensions, pathnames, dummy URLs, user input, and Twitter handles. Here is an example: “If your input contains a property named Date
, you can use SELECT date
to push it to your output.”
A block of code is set as follows:
SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT Column1) AS Count_column1, System.TIMESTAMP() AS Time FROM Input TIMESTAMP BY TIME GROUP BY TumblingWindow(second, 2)
Code output or a command-line entry is set as follows:
npm install applicationinsights
Bold: Indicates a new term, an important word, or words that you see onscreen. For example, words in menus or dialog boxes appear in the text like this. Here is an example: “When you click the Review + create button and confirm creation, an alert rule will be created.”
