After release, the focus turns to ensuring that the environment, with its new features and products, maintains the same level of performance, scalability, and security as before. Measurements of performance, both in the context of how the system is operating and whether it is delivering its promised value, are taken and displayed.

The displays reflect a focus on observability, ensuring not only that the metrics exist but that they are available and visible to everyone: developers, operations people, site reliability engineers, and others in the business.

When problems occur, people from these disciplines come together to collaborate on the problem and find a solution.
